  • Based on a full day workshop by Dr. Cathy Collins Block- What We’ve Learned Since the 2000 National Reading Panel Report to Improve Comprehension and Vocabulary, this interactive learning module highlights the following:

    • Research and a 45 minute video clip featuring information on Generation Y

    This interactive learning module can be used by individual teachers to help improve their knowledge in teaching comprehension and vocabulary; or, as grade level or school wide professional development.   • Based on a full day workshop developed by the RMC Research Corporation - Planning to Sustain the Tenets of Reading First, this interactive learning module highlights the following:

    • Tools for leadership team use as related to building sustainability
    • Relevant research

    This interactive learning module can be used by administrators, building coaches and leadership teams to help them think critically and build sustainability in their building.   • The topics of this book include an overview of the major coaching models, how to apply principles of adult learning and motivation, the role of assessment, working with teachers on a variety of levels (1-1, whole group and small group) as well as giving specific examples of a coach working with specific grade levels.

    This on-line support provides discussion points, suggestions for further reading and suggestions for application. As well, web links mentioned in the book or related to the topics are listed for your use and exploration.
